TAP®

This two splint system, developed by Dr. Thornton, USA, allows for a maximum advancement of 22 mm. It is easily adjusted through the tightening of a screw which after being fitted can be replaced by a closing plate.

Lower jaw movement remains possible in 3 dimensions. Depending on the requirements of the patient, the upper and lower jaw can be either separated or anchored, during the night. To custom-make, a construction bite is not necessary.

Material of the protrusion device: stainless steel
Splint material: either Durasoft® (Scheu Dental) or SupraSoft SupraSoft
For a more comfortable fit, we recommend SupraSoft SupraSoft, our exclusive combination of a hard outer shell integrated with a softer inner layer.
